So today I’d like to continue our Birthday Fiesta Project (those cute li’l Alpacas, uh-huh!). If you don’t have the stamps, dies, and DSP (Designer Series Paper) called Festive Birthday, you really really really want to pick it up now. It goes into full retirement on 5/30/17.
Don’t fret though; I’ve already thought of another awesome similar project to take its place.
Let’s go ahead and make those cards, shall we?
Here’s the video, and the Product list is below it with links.
Today I want to share with you this cute little card folder complete with 5 cards! It’s perfect for giving, or make one for yourself. I’ve done them with a base of Crumb Cake and accents in two colors, one for each folder — Watermelon Wonder and Dapper Denim. In the video, I’m working on the Dapper Denim folder.
Products I used are at the bottom of the page. If you need a template for the folder, drop me a note and I’ll send you one. Thanks!
I thought this one turned our really well! It is made with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set + Flourish Thinlits dies. I taught it in my workshop this month, and also made one like it for mom for Mother’s Day. Of course I forgot to get a photo before mailing it!
Here’s another one from a workshop class… my theme was “Simple” and it really is, just layer up cardstock and adhere one small leaf design to it. The minty looking color is Pool Party and the yummy paper is the Oh So Succulent Designer Series, which has run out, although you could do this with any coordinating cardstock.
Next up is a card I made for my Aunt Betty. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms set and the flowers are also part of that stamp set. I cut them out with a pansy punch.
Obviously these are not complete yet, but I used a napkin (!!!) from Michael’s for the background, and it coordinated very well with my Pop of Paradise stamp set. I tried double-stamping the flamingo [top right] as well as printing him black [top left]. I adhered a few flowers to the top left card; they’re cut out with the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits dies. Here they’re just laying on the background to see if I like it. (I do! I like it a lot!)
